Saddle Creek has announced 4 vinyl releases for Record Store Day 2012. They will be re-issuing classic albums from Cursive, Icky Blossoms, The Mynabirds, and PUJOL;all of which will include codes for MP3 downloads. See below for a release breakdown of the titles in independent record stores on April 21.
Cursive
The classic 2001 EP, Burst and Bloom, is available on vinyl , and pressed on RSD exclusive yellow, white, and black marbled vinyl that is limited to 1,500 copies. Cursive has a brand new record, I Am Gemini, out now and they are on the road.
Icky Blossoms
The first Saddle Creek release from Omaha’s hot new dance rock outfit includes the album track “Babes” along with “Chicas,” a Spanish version of the A-side. The single is pressed on colored vinyl and limited to 1,000 copies. Also stay tuned for more info on a Summer 2012 album release.
The Mynabirds
The “Generals” single precedes the June 5 release of GENERALS, the sophomore album from The Mynabirds, and includes the non-album track “Fallen Doves.” The 7″ features silkscreened sleeves that are hand spray painted and numbered by band leader Laura Burhenn. The covers are available in 5 different paint colors and limited to 1,000 copies on black vinyl.
PUJOL
The new single from Nashville, TN’s PUJOL includes “REVERSE VAMPIRE” from the upcoming UNITED STATES OF BEING full-length due out June 5. The B-side of the 7″ features a home demo of the album track “PSYCHIC PAIN.” The record is pressed on colored vinyl and limited to 1,000 copies.
