The Damned Unveil “Plan 9 Channel 7” Live At “A Night Of A Thousand Vampires”
On October 28th 2019 The Damned took the stage at London’s prestigious Palladium Theater for a very special immersive musical and theatrical experience featuring songs from their 43 year existence. A true event from showmen supreme, it was a historic night in the history of a storied band and a special evening for fans and band alike. It was also a fond farewell for drummer Pinch, his final show after two decades with the band. The long awaited Live-album A Night Of A Thousand Vampires is one that teams The Damned with The Hammer House of Horror and the cast of The Circus of Horrors.
Plan 9 Channel 7, that originally appeared on 1979’s Machine Gun Etiquette album, was David Vanian‘s personal choice for the first official video from A Night Of A Thousand Vampires. With its aura of sensuality and darkadelic danger, the clip captures the spirit of this tribute to actress Maila Nurmi, whose signature creation Vampira appears in duplicate on the stage. A stroll through the Hollywood Cemetery never rocked like this!
