The Darling Buds

Formed in Caerleon, Wales, in 1986, The Darling Buds quickly built a passionate local following before emerging as one of the standout bands of the UK indie scene. Inspired by the C86 movement, The Beatles, ’60s pop and the post-punk DIY ethos, the band self-released their debut single in 1987 before issuing a series of acclaimed releases on Sheffield’s Native Records. A move to Epic Records followed, leading to three celebrated albums. Now, more than three decades later Same Sun / Same Sky marks a welcome return from a band whose bright, melodic sound continues to resonate across generations of indie music fans.
