With a sound built as if to contrast the beauty that surrounds them, The Dog Indiana blast their audience with walls of reverb, feedback and distortion, creating the perfect foil to the natural serenity of Vancouver Island. The trio has spent the last six years building a dynamic repertoire of original material, a sound of simmering doom that boils over and explodes into thrashing primordial chaos. Sonically building off 2020’s Never EP. Burnt Ends continues the descent into a darker, richer and more serious tone for The Dog Indiana. Recorded with Jordan Koop at The Noise Floor during a week of unrelenting West Coast downpour, The Dog Indiana was allowed time and room for experimentation, employing synthesizer drones and piano, various percussion instruments and the odd bit of improvised rain to round out the sounds that had been fomenting in dirty garages and darkened basements in the previous years.
