Vancouver Celtic punk act The Dreadnoughts have just announced that they will be heading into the studio in the next few days to start recording their follow up to 2009’s Victory Square.  The band also recently wrote in a facebook update that they are currently seeking local contributors who can offer good quality gang vocals:

“The Dreadnoughts are heading into the studio to start recording their 3rd full-length album. Anyone who lives in Vancouver and wants to help sing sea shanties or do gang vocals: reply to this right away… if you wanna sing shanties or gangs on our album, you have to record yourself singing either a James Brown, a Nirvana or a Kermit The Frog song and send it to thedreadnoughts@gmail.com. We are not joking about this. Make it happen, and SOON.”

To apply, head over to the band’s facebook profile.
