On the edge of of the top ten from The Punk Site’s 2023 Top 40 are Rancid with their tenth studio album, Tomorrow Never Comes, that was released in June via Epitaph Records and produced by label founder and Bad Religion guitarist, Brett Gurewitz. With its sixteen blistering tracks that each barely reach the two-and-a-half-minute mark, the album boasts the same gritty, straightforward punk with a purpose that we just can’t get enough of. Their music confronts political and social issues while balancing personal tales of love, loss, and heartbreak with attitude. By carrying on the traditions and spirit of the original punk rock bands that came before, Rancid have become a legend and inspiration to the punk bands that have come after.

“Rancid have produced another energetic throwback sure to reassure fans that these old dogs still have what it takes to run with the pack. While Tomorrow Never Comes won’t necessarily turn any new heads, it will reignite the fire of days gone by for those of us in the throws of middle age. That being said, if today’s youth are looking to acquaint themselves with one of street punk’s all time greats, then Tomorrow Never Comes is a solid entry point as well. Either way, the Rancid train is back on the tracks – be sure to hop on and enjoy the ride!” (Cole Faulkner)
