Boston’s The Rins have released their self titled debut album, that features the singles Greener, Heavy Heart and Lover Lover, via streaming platforms. Fronted by singer Erin “Rin” MacKenzie (Doped Up Dollies / Big D and the Kids Table) who made a name for herself by performing with the likes of Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Dropkick Murphys, it was now time to try out writing and telling her own story. With blues, rock & country influenced guitars, funk inspired bass and the ska, punk and doo wop influenced stylings of Erin’s vocals, the band produce a sound you can’t help but dance to. The Rins debut album also features guest appearances by members of The Elovaters and Jesse Ahearn.
Summer of 2024 is full of shows and festivals and The Rins want you to hear what they have got up their sleeves. The Rins will next be appearing on June 29th in Rhode Island with Crooked Coast and then at Levitate Festival on July 7th with Sublime, Charley Crockett and Little Stranger.
