The Shadracks, a three-piece rock n’ roll group hailing from Medway, Kent, release their second album, From Human Like Forms, today via Damaged Goods Records. Following on from their debut self-titled album in 2018, also available through Damaged Goods Records, From Human Like Forms, features fourteen tracks of taut, stripped-down garage punk that sees The Shadracks achieving giddy new heights in their song writing and performing abilities. Following the album release there will be a brand new limited 7” vinyl single featuring the track Pray, backed by a righteous romp through the Buzzcocks 1976 Howard Devoto fronted era punk classic, Time’s Up, that will be available on August 27th.
The Pray video was shot and directed by innovative film maker, and former The Jesus And Mary Chain bassist, Douglas Hart. Pray is, according to guitarist and vocalist Huddie Shadrack (and son of punk and art icon Billy Childish, who also produced the album) “about reparation and reconciliation, it’s about communion and moving away from unfounded judgement.”
