The Sleights Release “It’s Not That Easy” EP

Formed in early 2014, The Sleights have previously self-released five EP’s and one full length, they have also played shows throughout their home state of Colorado and multiple tours throughout the Midwest and West Coast. Pulling from its strong punk rock and rock & roll roots, the band keeps the music short and simple, and the live shows fast and fun. The Colorado Springs punk band have now released their new EP, It’s Not That Easy, via Encapsulated Records.

“‘It’s Not That Easy’ is a slightly darker step away from our last record. We had new material we felt could stand alone as an EP and the songs run a little longer than our previous material because we spent much more time crafting lyrics and leads. It touches on themes of social alienation, near death experiences, and problems trusting those around you. The title track discusses the frustration of working in a band, or any group for that matter, and trying to keep the whole thing afloat. Something that is often more easily said than done.”
