The Sleights Release New Single & Video “It’s Not That Easy”

Colorado Springs punk outfit The Sleights, who include members of The Lillingtons and NOBODYS, have released their new single, It’s Not That Easy, that is taken from their upcoming self-titled EP that is due out on December 21st on Encapsulated Records. Formed in early 2014, the four-piece have self-released five EPs, one album and played shows throughout their home state of Colorado, as well as multiple tours throughout the Midwest and West Coast. Pulling from its strong punk rock and rock & roll roots, the band keeps the music short and simple, and the live shows fast and fun.

“‘It’s Not That Easy’ is a slightly darker step away from our last record. We had new material we felt could stand alone as an EP and the songs run a little longer than our previous material because we spent much more time crafting lyrics and leads. It touches on themes of social alienation, near death experiences, and problems trusting those around you. The title track discusses the frustration of working in a band, or any group for that matter, and trying to keep the whole thing afloat. Something that is often more easily said than done.”
