The Week That Was: Aug. 15 – Aug. 21

A lot of things happen each and every week that sometimes it’s hard to keep track of everything. • Weezer are planning a Pinkerton tour
• Coheed and Cambria are hosting a contest for opening acts in their upcoming North American tour
• The always controversial Brokencyde will have a new album out in November
• Mr. Brett of Bad Religion and Epitaph Records talked to Spinner about Bad Religion‘s last thirty years and their new album
• Leatherface are touring Australia and New Zealand and Edmonton’s Fire Next Time are heading out on a Canadian tour
• Veteran punk rockers Dag Nasty announced plans for a new album as did 7 Seconds
• Ruiner announced their final three shows together as a band
• Tom Gabel taught people how to play I Was A Teenage Anarchist and then played acoustically on a canoe
• Long running ska act Voodoo Glow Skulls unveiled a new song and up and coming pop-punkers The Wonder Years posted an emotional song in honor of a friend who passed away
• Paper + Plastick Records signed Red City Radio
• None More Black unveiled details about their new album, Icons
• The Sex Pistols have launched their own brand of perfume
