Mightier Than Sword Records have announced that they will release Transit‘s new EP, Something Left Behind, in the new year. The EP includes an acoustic rendition of one song from each of the band’s previous releases, along with three brand new songs. The band had this to say about working with Mightier Than Sword and their new EP:

“The ‘Something Left Behind’ EP is our first acoustic release, and an idea we’ve been toying around with forever, and now we finally have some time and the means to create it. The decision to do the EP with Mightier Than Sword was an easy one. We’re all into the label and everything they’re doing, and it’s run by genuinely awesome dudes. We’re more than excited to make this happen.”

The EP will be released on CD, vinyl and digitally on February 22nd, 2011.  Pre-orders for the EP, and exclusive t-shirt and screen-printed poster bundles, will go live in the MTS Webstore and select online retailers at 12 PM EST on February 1st, 2011.
