Newcastle, UK’s TV Death have released their new single, Propaganda, that is taken from the band’s forthcoming debut album, Neon Dreamland, that is due out on 21st August via Dogged Sound Records. Opening the album with a sharp critique of media manipulation, Propaganda dissects the ways in which misinformation shapes societal perceptions of critical issues like war and immigration. The track condemns the complacency that allows these narratives to thrive and warns of the growing divide between public discourse and truth. Set against the backdrop of social media’s influence and growing political polarisation, exemplified by events like the recent UK riots. The song acts as a stark reminder of the dangerous consequences of unchecked rhetoric and the power of the media to shape, divide and manipulate.
“’Propaganda’ is a 2-minute-34 blast of raw, relentless psych punk. A commentary on how truth gets twisted and how misinformation fuels fear, division, and apathy. It’s a wake-up call about the narratives we’re fed and the damage they cause.” (frontman Jack Burlison)
