Ways Away Reveal New Single & Video “Nevermind The Dog”

On their new single, Nevermind The Dog, Ways Away take aim at the destructive power systems leading the world today and the sliver of hope that something can change. The song blends the band’s punk rock grit with melodic guitars and a shout-along style chorus. Produced by Beau Burchell (Saosin), the song marks the latest in a string of standalone singles from the band following the release of their 2020 self-titled album. Ways Away‘s line up packs a notable rock resume as they feature former members of Samiam, Knapsack, Racquet Club, Stick To Your Guns, Wish You Were Here, BoySetsFire and The Hope Conspiracy.

“‘Never Mind The Dog’ is a song about being completely and utterly disgusted and fed up with the world at large. While it becomes harder and harder to just live your life without having to give so much of it away to other people to build their dreams upon our backs, the only hope I have left is an admittedly slow moving but powerful class consciousness of working people who are naive enough to believe we can change things.
