Allergic To Humans are a trio hailing from the Island of Gotland in Sweden, no I haven’t heard of it either, but living on the edge of society has never stopped good rock ‘n roll, in fact in many cases it’s the catalyst that spectacularly fuels the fire. After the release of their critically acclaimed self titled debut EP in 2018 the band started recording their debut album, together with producer Jörgen ‘Jugglo’ Wall at Kapsylen Studio they seem to have perfected their blend of rock ‘n roll, garage and punk rock as their debut full length “Infinity Crunch” is one of the best album’s, if not the best, that’s crossed my path so far this year
From the frantic first bars of ‘Limestone Rock‘ you’re drawn into “Infinity Crunch“, a brutal Motörhead bassline fused with amphetamines, rock ‘n roll and punk, from here you’re in for a rollercoaster as the influences constantly vie for attention, they are all ever present but in different proportions, all of which power the album along at breakneck pace. Every single cut on “Infinity Crunch‘ is instantly stuck in your head, there is an ever present energy that is almost intoxicating, this sits alongside influences from surf, psyche and soul to create something that should probably be illegal. This is primal howling garage punk done exactly as it oughta be
Allergic To Humans debut album “Infinity Crunch” will be released on the 10th April, this is a primal slab of soul and garage that is fused with punk’s energy. You could argue that the end result of listening to “Infinity Crunch” is that you come to the conclusion that Allergic To Humans don’t know where to place themselves, they probably don’t care, and really neither should you. “Infinity Crunch” is a blistering blend of influences from the past that creates something that is oddly vibrant and timeless, if you love the likes of The Hives, Thee Windom Earles, Snakerattlers and The Blue Carpet Band then this will have a place in your rock ‘n roll heart.
