Sunny Side Up - Thousand Islands Records

Montreal Skatepunk quartet Bussieres are set to release their long awaited sophomore EP, Sunny Side Up, their new release offers six new tracks and is set to be released on May 15th 2018 on CD and through all major digital platforms via Thousand Islands RecordsSunny Side Up is served up as a follow up to Bussieres‘ self released debut EP, Orange Glow, and it’s a release that sees the band make a welcome return to recording after two long years on the road.

Baxter kicks things off in brutal style with a intense riff and breakdown that shows that Bussieres have been developing a more muscular sound since their debut EP was self released back in 2016, Santa! I Know Him! continues the brutal assault in fine style before the album’s shortest track, August 29th, hits you between the eyes with 38 seconds of perfection. The Sunny Side Up EP continues to be an impressively relentless release, whether it’s the EP’s lead single, Prestige Worldwide, the intense hit of Talladega Knights or the EP’s epic, at least in comparison to the other five tracks that populate Sunny Side Up, title track.

The release of the Sunny Side Up EP indicates that Bussieres haven’t wasted the two years since they released their debut EP, the fact that the EP is done a dusted in around twelve minutes tells you a lot about their latest release, as this is half a dozen cuts of melodic hardcore infused skatepunk that hits the spot nicely. Bussieres have released an EP that is six intense hits of punk rock that fans of Propaghandi, Antillectual, Good Riddance and The Bronx really should be adding to their playlist when the Sunny Side Up EP hits the streets on May 15th.
