7Seconds Announces New Full Length; Debuts First Track

American hardcore punk band 7Seconds has released details for their first new full length in 9 years. released an album (2005’s Take It Back, Take It On, Take It Over!), but that’s about to change.  The fourteen track album will be titled Leave A Light On and is due out May 27, 2014 via Rise Records.  Front man Kevin Seconds tells fans what they can expect:

“We’re clearly not a young, shiny, pretty group of dudes trying to set the world on fire any more but we’re also not stagnant, indifferent or settled and we still have loads of heart and energy that we feel the need to share with whomever is listening…Lyrically, I think I’m finally beginning to feel my middle-age set in and how it now carries over into how I think as a punk rocker and a grown up hardcore kid and where 7Seconds sits in the middle of it all.”

The album was produced, engineered, and mixed by Steve Kravac (Blink-182, Less Than Jake, MxPx) at Hell’s Half Acre Studio in Southern California and mastered by Michael Hately (Neil Young, Green Day, Metallica, Flaming Lips).  Listen to the first song from the album, “I Have Faith In You,” below.
