Norwich, UK five piece Read The Room have released the Same Old Story video single and their debut EP, A Place Like No Other. The Same Old Story video features front-woman Alana Beardsley-Best simply “Messing around and having fun” and was filmed and edited entirely on her phone. The A Place Like No Other EP is a potent introduction to a band who radiate with modern nuances whist embracing reverent stylings of 90’s/2000’s punk, emo and alt-rock.
A Place Like No Other was produced by bassist Dan Dawson at his home studio, the five tracks are an amalgamation of each group member and their eclectic musical tastes. Citing key influences such as Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Biffy Clyro, Blink 182 and Foo Fighters the band create their own sonic cocktail of pop-punk edged alternative rock.
