Abolitionist Share “They Never Told Us” From Upcoming “The Long Slide” Album

Abolitionist have shared new track, They Never Told Us, that is the first taste of the band’s new album, The Long Slide, that will be available on the 1st January 2025 on limited edition cassette and as a name your price download via Bandcamp.

“Here’s a new Abolitionist album! The first track is available to check out now; the other nine will be available on 1/1/25. At that point, it’ll be a “pay what you want” download, like usual. The plan is to do 3 albums following a storyline based on the relationship between a brother and sister living through “the long slide” as they navigate the collapse. There will be a more “post-punk” sound to these albums, featuring chorus/flanger/drum machine/synth, but hopefully it still sounds like Abolitionist … whatever that might mean.“
