Anthony Raneri – String Me Along

New York City-based indie label I Surrender Records has announced the release of I Surrender Records Presents: Our Voices, this fall. The EPs released under this banner will feature original solo tracks from the members of well known punk and indie bands.  The first EP is set to drop on November 25, 2013 and features brand new music from Adam Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday, Anthony Raneri of Bayside, Chris Conley of Saves The Day, and Vinnie Caruana of I Am The Avalanche. Label founder Rob Hitt says comments:

“Time flies. I Surrender Records celebrated its 10 year anniversary this year.  It’s crazy how much happens when you look back and reflect on what you were doing 10 years ago and what you’re doing today.  When we started this label, listening to these artists helped us, along with so many others, get through the best and worst times. We admired and listened, but never thought we’d have the opportunity to release music with them.  This experience for us has been both a childhood dream and amazing opportunity to work with talented songwriters who have become friends over the years.  In a band, you tend to play a specific style of music so you don’t let your listeners down. For this project, we wanted a way to give musicians an opportunity to step outside the box stylistically without any expectations. Throw out the guidelines and give the artist the platform to be creative beyond their past. That’s when Our Voices was born.”
