Anti-FlagThe internet has exploded with news of members of Russian punk band Pussy Riot being sentenced to two years in prison for “hooliganism” due to their protest of the Kremlin regime. Anti-Flag and Adam Vass of LaDispute have teamed up to create a limited edition t-shirt and an exclusive poster with all proceeds going to Pussy Riot.

Regarding the project, Vass says “I immediately wanted to do whatever I could to help. With the help of the guys in Anti-Flag, we’ve come up with something I can be proud of as an artist and that can help people who need it right now.” Anti-Flag have also commented on the situation – “Make people question who are Pussy Riot and provide them with the answer: anyone who stands up for what they believe.”

Plenty more artists have been supporting the Pussy Riot cause. Pettybone, an all girl punk band from London sold Free Pussy Riot shirts on their dates with Refused this month, with all proceeds going to the cause, Peaches created a guerilla video in honour of them and even Paul McCartney has spoken out against the imprisonment of the three women.
