Aquabats To Release Next Full Length On Fearless Records

Long running ska parody group The Aquabats has announced that they will be releasing their long awaited follow-up to 2006’s Charge! with Fearless Records.  The band let the news slide in an interview with Amp Magazine.  MC Bat Commander comments on the move:

“We were self releasing the record, and it was supposed to come out November 9th. We’re finishing it up now, and in the music business you’re not supposed to finish something and then turn around and release it right away, it’s kind of bad planning. We didn’t care; we just wanted to get the record out. We were just plotting ahead and finishing up the record and then Fearless Records called. They were like, “We’ll distribute this record for you guys, we’ll help you, we’ll do a deal with you guys. It can just be for this record, you don’t have to do a six record deal or whatever other labels would want.”

The band will be releasing a preview EP on November 9, 2010, with the full length to follow in January 2011.  Read the full interview here.
