After an amazing 34 years since the reemergence of his version of The Lurkers, bass player and singer Arturo Bassick has decided its time to hang up the touring boots and slow down the pace of life a little.

The Lurkers have been a stalwart of the live circuit for three and a half decades since this reincarnation back in 1987, ten years after the original band stormed their way to an iconic sound back at the begininging of the punk era.

Arturo says “As much as I loved getting very drunk and having fun with all the lovely folk I know country and worldwide I’ve decided to only play for 999 and we will be cutting our gigs down even if the scene goes back to the old normal which I’m not sure it will. Thank you to everyone who supported us in any kind of way you have been fantadtic xx Please dont ask for further explanations or tell me “well play sober” coz I’ve done it and I hate it, it makes no sense to me , So cheeeers take care all and possibly see you with 999, I hope so”. So do we Arturo!
