Åskväder Are “On The Fence” With New Single

Following Farewell, Salt and Aim High, Gothenburg’s Åskväder reveal another side of their forthcoming album, Wax, with their latest single, On The Fence. The song lives in the uneasy space between conviction and uncertainty. Its lyrics follow someone searching for a way forward through exhaustion, promises and deception: should they trust the voice calling them into the light, or turn away? The refrain’s question “should I stay or should I go” gives the track its emotional centre. Here, belief might offer salvation, but it might also leave you stranded. For the band, On The Fence was a song that took time to reveal its full strength. Wax will be released on October 2nd via Icons Creating Evil Art and Åskväder will be playing a brace of release shows, they will appear at Gothenburg’s Pustervik on October 2nd and Stockholm’s Geronimos on October 3rd.
