Looks like Bigfoot has some believers in the punk community. A collection of artists have volunteered their live sets to take place in a benefit show that will take place to raise money for the Bigfoot Discovery Project. according to the press release, the proceeds will go towards the museum’s mussion to:
“Attract & edutain the public with the facts about mystery primates around the world
Generate revenue to cover expenses, pay staff, fund ongoing projects & programs
Establish Research Center for Discovery Science & Scientific Exploration
Teach children about reverence for wildlife and conservation of wilderness via cryptozoology
Seek proof of the existence of Bigfoot via investigatory field research and forensics.”
band currently in the lineup include Paul Collins’ Beat, Nikki Corvette, Mean Jeans, Shannon and the Clams, Clorox Girls, Red Pony Clock, the Groggs, and the Huxtables. The concert will take place Friday July 1, 2011 through Sunday July 3, 2011 in Santa Cruz, CA.
