Blestenation Cover Suicidal Tendencies' Institutionalized

New York hip-hop trio Blestenation has released the video for their mash-up of the Suicidal Tendencies classic “Institutionalized” online. The band explained the decision to do the video saying:

“I got the idea for the video from watching a skit on the Leno show one night where he had the scene from the end of Scarface, but he put Dr. Phil’s face on Tony Montana. The original is an epic song and we re-vamped it with Nate Albert on guitar.  I always loved the difference between the mellow verse of the song and how loud and crazy the chorus was. We did our best to recreate that in a hip hop style.”

Blestenation will release their debut album, “MBugout City“, on April 13th, 2010 through Suburban Noize Records.
