Blind Adam & The Federal League Reveal “There Was A Ballgame” Video Ahead Of The Fest & ANTIfest

Chicago’s Blind Adam And The Federal League have shared their new video, There Was A Ballgame, that is taken from their 2021 A-F Records album, An Act of Desperation, that was produced by Chris #2 Barker (Anti-Flag) and mastered by Joe Tessone at Mystery Street Recording. Blind Adam And The Federal League will also be appearing at The Fest and ANTIfest as well as playing alongside Anti-Flag and We Are The Union at Detroits The Sanctuary.

“The song was written as a letter to my grandmother who sadly passed away in 1996. She was a huge Cubs fan, and some of my best childhood memories were celebrating Chicago sports with her – especially the Chicago Cubs. Donald Trump was elected less than one week after the Cubs finally won the 2016 World Series with the direct help of club owners, The Ricketts, who are actively involved in GOP and MAGA politics. Baseball is supposed to be for the people, but it has been a long time since I felt at home at Wrigley Field.” (Singer Adam Gogola)

Adam Gogola (vocals/guitar) and Alex Simotes (bass/vocals) have been the foundation of what has become a kind of family band of friends and loved ones from all over the midwest. The new lineup features guitarist Nick Cvijovic of the Chicago punk band Butchered, guitarist Tim Schumann of Loss Leader, and Athen Erbter of Boob Sweat and Ugly Flannel on drums. Blind Adam And The Federal League are currently working on another full-length album that is set to be released in 2023.
