Brian Ray Releases ‘One Heartbeat’ Via Wicked Cool Records

Thirty years after its original release Brian Ray has released the new garage-soul version of One Heartbeat for Wicked Cool Records, the single, that features Smokey Robinson, is writer and arranger Brian Ray‘s way of thanking Smokey for all he did for him. One Heartbeat became the title track of Smokey Robinson‘s 1987 album and was chosen as its second single. Working with his old writing partner, Steve Le Gassick, they sat down together to re-imagine the song with a new point of view, full of fuzz guitars, bossy drums and real horns.
