Bright & Barrow Records Announces Cause A Scene Compilation

New York based Bright & Barrow Records has announced that they will be releasing a new compilation CD to celebrate the city’s richly rooted punk rock identity.  Notable bands include House Boat, The Measure [SA], and Banquets to name a few.  The press release details the label’s motivations:

“The closing of CBGB, the mural of Joe Strummer in the East Village slowly fading away, and mohawks becoming the hairstyle of choice in SoHo reflect the decline of punk’s significance in New York, but newly formed Bright & Barrow Records is looking to snap the city out of its musical haze.”

Cause A Scene Vol. 1 is set for an August 31, 2010 release via digital download.  The track listing can be found below.  Check out further details here.
