A documentary about the 80’s/90’s Brooklyn ska scene is now available for both download and streaming online. Brooklyn Rocksteady: The Roots, The Scene & The Culture was produced by Samuel Gursky and funded via crowdsourcing website kickstarter.
The film explores the ska/rocksteady scene between 1981 and 2011, and features never before seen studio footage as well as live clips and interviews with some of the time’s most notable acts such as The Slackers, The Toasters, The Pietasters and The Forthrights.
