Wild Honey Records is still run the same way it started: out of a garage, non-profit, no contracts, and a catalogue built one release at a time, the Free Label Sampler 2026 reflects that approach. Nineteen tracks drawn from recent and upcoming releases that shift between international acts and a new wave of Italian underground bands, without drawing a line between the two. Radioactivity set the tone with their stripped-down, forward push. Bee Bee Sea open things up, stretching garage rock into something more fluid and melodic. The Peawees, thirty years in, lean into a deeper, groove-driven take on rock’n’roll, while Radio Days keep things fast, bright and tightly wound. Further out, The Bad Plug bring in a more abrasive, synthetic edge, previewing their upcoming LP Plugology, while Manduria slow the pace into something repetitive, hypnotic and strangely addictive.

From the Texan underground, Drakulas and Oddfellows add a raw garage-punk charge, sharp and immediate. Crocodiles drift in with a detached, bittersweet melody, while Conspiracy of Owls keep things rooted in classic pop songwriting, understated but deeply structured. Elsewhere, Five Bucks, Poo Poo Talks, Snüff, Weird Bloom and The Kaams offer a glimpse of the label’s next chapter, while long-standing collaborators such as Deniz Tek and The New Christs remind listeners how far the Wild Honey network now extends beyond its Italian origins. The sampler is available as a free download, with listeners invited to support the project through an optional donation. A CD version is included free with every order placed through the label’s store.
