Burly Calling 2013Details have been announced for the seventh annual Burly Calling festival. The four day festival takes place in Burlington, Ontario in December every year. Previously, Burly Calling has focused on the booking of local Burlington talent but now is extending its reach to Southern Ontario. Festival attendees are able to purchase a wristband that allows them access to all shows during the weekend, except for ‘Big Ticket’ shows which tickets are sold separately.

Founded by singer Benjamin Rispin (of Saint Alvia) in 2007, the festival began as a way to promote his own band but have developed into a comprehensive multi-venue festival operation centred in downtown Burlington. The festival utilizes existing small venues and pubs located in the downtown core. By do so it emphasizes the convenience of having multiple shows happening within close proximity.
