Canadian Copyright And The CFS

With a new Copyright proposal looming in Canada this coming Thursday, The Canadian Federation of Students have launched a new video calling on students across the country to support the fight for fair copyright.  Much like the Conservative government’s failed Bill C-61 in 2008, the new bill is expected to support stricter digital rights management including tight format shifting regulations and digital locks.  This comes in spite of a copyright “consultation” with citizens that consumed much of 2009’s summer.
