Chaser – A Very Recessive Christmas

Metal-tinged melodic punk rockers Chaser is streaming a brand new festive track over on their myspace.  The song is titled “A very Recessive Christmas.”  The band explains the inspiration behind the gloomy track:

“This is a very off-canter type of Christmas song. It’s about a father who has become of victim of the economic recession, lost his job and home, and has no money left to spend on material items or presents for his son this year. But more than anything, he wants to see him this year and spend quality time together. Family, and spending quality time with the ones you love, isn’t that what Christmas is really all about? It’s definitely not your typical Merry Christmas song, but it roughly defines our current situation and I’m sure people can relate to it in one way or another. At least we’ve included this picture of good old Frosty to lighten up the mood! Happy Holidays from Chaser.”
