The Saints Reveal Posthumous Track “Break Away” & Issue Statement On The Saints 1973-1978 Tour

Prior to his death, Chris Bailey, the late frontman of The Saints, was working on a new Saints record and the first posthumous single, Break Away, is set for release digitally in a couple of weeks, but the track is now available as a name your price download via Bandcamp and can be previewed below. The family of Chris Bailey and the Chris Bailey Estate have issued a statement questioning the decision to reform The Saints with Mark Arm from Mudhoney replacing Chris Bailey on vocals. Neither the late singer’s family, nor the Chris Bailey Estate, were informed or consulted, on this decision.

“The Chris Bailey Estate owns The Saints name and our primary objective is to honour Chris Bailey’s memory and the Saints significant legacy with integrity. More importantly, Ed Kuepper and his management team, Feel Presents, also recently put out unauthorised merchandise and reissues without any consultation with the Estate and were eventually forced to change the name to The Saints 1973-1978  and promised not to do anything else without consultation. Furthermore, there have been attempts in interviews to reduce or negate the role Chris Bailey played in the original Saints.”
