Cock Sparrer’s “Shock Troops” Gets Expanded & Reissued

Cock Sparrer‘s 1982 album, Shock Troops, is one of the most important and influential Street Punk albums of all time from one of the scene’s longest lasting bands, and now it’s getting an expanded reissue on the 11th October courtesy of Cherry Red Records and Captain Oi! Records. Tracks from this album have been covered by the likes of Agnostic Front, Roger Miret & The Disasters, The Bouncing Souls, Vision, The Interrupters, The Dead Pets, Dropkick Murphys, Rancid and Argy Bargy to name but a few, and the majority of the songs on Shock Troops are still in the bands live set to this very day.

The expanded reissue of Shock Troops includes the full album alongside a trio of bonus tracks including the England Belongs To Me single. The reissue also includes a booklet that contains lyrics to all the songs plus exclusive track by track notes by the individual band members. Cock Sparrer celebrated their 52nd anniversary earlier this year by releasing their eighth studio album, Hand On Heart, that is available through digital platforms and on coloured vinyl, picture disc, cassette and CD via Cherry Red Records.
