The Dollyrots have released their annual single Christmas single, this years it's a full on Holiday sugar rush as they…
Call it the early tapes, best of, or a greatest hits record, but Dany Laj & The Looks like to call it RetroSpectacle. This album is a retrospective of a career from the garage to the van, filled with hand picked fan favorites and buried treasures of heartworn sleeve power pop. Rum Bar Records have released the collection on CD with the vinyl version being a collaborative release with two Spanish imprints, Snap! Records and Kick Out the Jam Records, who have also issued a limited run 45 featuring the French-language version of Annie, a track previously unreleased on vinyl. The collection features the “mildly popular” hits Sweet Pretender, Hold For Love, Left Right To One and an unreleased version of Take It Away.
“I found it strange at first when I randomly got approached by Angel from Snap! Records during the summer of ’21 to release a record compiled of older album songs and singles, but it totally makes sense since our records are rare and hard to find in record stores in that corner of the world. In the end it’s super flattering and we are extremely thrilled that it’s all happening.” (Dany Laj)
