LA based punk rockers Death Lens have released their crushing new single and video, Daemon, which will appear on their highly anticipated upcoming album No Luck, that is set for release on April 15th via Secret Friends Music Group. The official music video adds a compelling and clever visual narrative to the track, the bands music will also be featured on an episode of MTV’s Ridiculousness. The band will perform at the Treefort Festival in Boise, ID on March 26th and 27th, they will also be supporting Together Pangea for a five day run starting March 28th.
Daemon is Death Lens doing what they do best, pummeling audiences with fuzzed out SoCal style punk that encapsulates a hardcore attitude, skate culture and social awareness. The latest single hits hard with caustic riffs and catchy melodies that are as easy to mosh to as they are to sing along with. While the song blazes along at a breakneck pace, the precise playing from the band prevents it from going off the rails. The group emphasizes a well curated personal style as well as their working class, multi-cultural roots and showcase this with lyrics that speak to the hardships of life with an undercurrent of positivity and resilience.
“The video shows what goes on in our heads as we casually practice ‘DAEMON’. The people watching don’t exist, they are figments of our imaginations. They each represent a life struggle, along with world struggles, that we have to manage and deal with everyday. The last man standing at the end, raising his fist up high, is the little voice that is working overtime to keep us all optimistic even in the darkest of times.” (Singer Bryan Torres)
