Manchester Punk Festival Releases 37th Compilation
Manchester Punk Festival have released the 37th volume of their compilation series ahead of this year’s festival. Manchester Punk Festival Vol. 37 is…
Following the success of the self titled debut album from Delilah Bon (Lauren Tate / Hands Off Gretel) earlier this year, she has now announced that she will release Ready To Kill, her new six track horror EP that is due for release on October 15th. As the opening track Coffin states, Delilah is awoken from her slumber and is ready to rap and scream her guts out for the next 17 minutes of this hip hop meets nu-metal freak show. From cannibals to chainsaw killer clowns, Delilah’s lyrics are playful yet disturbing, fusing heavy de-tuned guitars, atmospheric haunting sounds and 808 bass, the EP will showcase a darker more twisted side to Delilah that none of us have seen before.
“I wanted the EP to have a ‘Jennifers Body’ meets ‘Harley Quinn’ energy to it. A girl seeking revenge, eating misogynists for breakfast, swinging her axe as she dances head to toe in blood. I wanted to create a character that was both disturbing but enchanting too, a real femme fatal It’s more than just a few songs on an EP, it’s my music and art combined, a whole concept brought to life. For each song I created visuals based on the lyrics, influenced by iconic villains in horror movies. ‘Ready To Kill’ is the perfect EP for this Halloween season!”“. (Delilah Bon)
