Devils Teeth Release New Album ‘La Leggenda Di Chong Li’

Devils Teeth have just released their new full length, La Leggenda Di Chong Li via Triple Eye Industries, the album is a spaghetti western garage rock operetta inspired by the character Chong Li from the martial arts film Bloodsport. Self-recorded, largely in a barn-turned-art space next to an insect-infested forest on the outskirts of Milwaukee, La Leggenda Di Chong Li follows a sonic and narrative arc and builds on their old sound with elements of exotica and spaghetti western embedded in their own wall of sound coupled with an other-worldly cinematic experience.

“We didn’t set out to make an album about a character from Bloodsport. That would be silly. While we don’t mind being called a lot of things, silly is not one of them. When we realized we were heading down the path to this album, we just decided to own it and have a good time doing something different and perhaps even a little indulgent to our eclectic musical tastes. Our last album was one thing, this is something entirely different. Whatever we end up doing after this will continue to be badass and most importantly, fun.”
