NYC’s Dog Date, have released their new full-length, Zinger, via Pop Wig Records. The album is a 26 minute blast of distortion and hooks that’s sure to please fans of all things loud, fast and a little left of the dial. Dog Date have been making a name for themselves with their scrappy fuzz-punk and pummeling live show powered by a unique dual drummer attack, now Zinger captures that appealing chaos. Dog Date will also be hitting the East Coast of the US this Spring in support of the album.

Dog Date

Originally started as the at-home recording project of vocalist & guitarist Dylan KennedyDog Date has evolved into a full-fledged force to be reckoned with. Zinger follows the group’s 2021 debut album, Child’s Play, and finds the band’s recently fleshed out live lineup making their first recorded appearance. Recorded by Matt Labozza and Morgan Miller, the album imagines an almost proto-punk version of the Smashing Pumpkins, with dimed-out Big Muffs blasting over speedy, spiky, primitive songs.
