Colorado folk-punk band Doom Scroll have today released their new album, Exhausted Dialogue, via Flail Records. The eleven track record is the band’s first full-length since 2021’s Immoral Compass and brings together their mix of folk-punk, pop-punk, ska and cinematic punk songwriting. Exhausted Dialogue deals with internal and external struggles, the exhaustion of fighting the same battles repeatedly and the difficulty of finding any lasting way out. The title comes from video-game terminology, players “exhaust” an NPC’s dialogue by repeatedly speaking with the character until there is nothing new left to say, a concept vocalist and guitarist Elliot Lozier felt captured the frustration and repetition running through the record.

Doom Scroll brings together Elliot Lozier (We The Heathens / Pesky Self / Atrocity Solution / Escape From The Zoo), vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Taylor Dittman (Broken Bow / Hermit Stew), bassist Micah Butler(Chatterbox and the Latter Day Satanists / Helga Pataki), guitarist and producer Jon Pizarro (Dead Work), and drummer Marissa Sendejas (Chad Hates George / Days N Daze). Doom Scroll will support Exhausted Dialogue with an extensive Fall tour beginning October 14th. The run includes an early performance at The Fest in Gainesville, dates with Pentagram String Band, a Canadian leg with The You and Me’s, and two final headlining shows.

“Exhausted Dialogue is an album about internal and external struggle. Rarely do we find any kind of reprieve when facing these struggles, and it felt like we were beating a dead horse by singing about these topics again and again.” (Elliot Lozier)
