Every Time I Die Viral Marketing Campaign On Twitter

Every Time I Die has been promoting their upcoming DVD, Shit Happens: The Series?, by retweeting fake tweets by a good many hollywood celebrities (Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Hillary Duff, Andy Dick, etc.) over on Twitter.  They don’t seem to be terribly amused, but it has made for some serious press and solid humour that money just can’t buy.

The DVD is set for an October 26, 2010 release via Epitaph Records.

Update [October 13th 3:30]: It appears that Every Time I Die were recently issued a cease and desist order, forcing them to stop creating fake tweets from various celebrities. While no official word on who it was that is behind the legal problems, piecing together information that Every Time I Die have posted on their Twitter account, it appears that Kanye West may be behind the band’s legal problems. This is, of course, simply a matter of piecing together clues and is not official by any means.
