Oakland, CA queer punk superstars Middle-Aged Queers have released their first new material of 2023, their new single follows hot on the heels of their 2022 Shout At The Hetero album that was released via Say-10 Records. Following the 2021 recording of Shout At The Hetero, the band recruited Fureigh (they/them pronouns, The Homobiles, ex-The Shondes) as their new guitarist. Anal Beads marks the first new material from this new lineup of Middle-Aged Queers. The song will be available on Bandcamp, along with other music apps, on February 3rd and you can pre-save the song on Spotify.
“We grew up on the heterocentric, decadent rock and roll ballads of the 70s and 80s. It only seemed fitting that we write a love song for us, by us.”
Featuring members of The Cost, Fang, The Insaints , The Homobiles and The Shondes, Middle-Aged Queers are a Bay Area “super group” of seasoned punks on a mission to make punk rock gay again. Over their four years of existence, they have taken their talked-about live show from coast to coast, including appearances at Fest, Pouzza Fest, Punk Rock Bowling and more.
