x2 Fast are set to drop their soaring pop-punk anthem, Save You, on the 15th May, but Manic Kat Records have given The Punk Site an exclusive preview of the track ahead of it’s release through streaming platforms. The Midlands quintet merge a sharp hybrid of urgent, weighty guitars and heartfelt lyricism on the track, a tip of the cap to the 90s and 00s scene, whilst delivering with an honest and unerringly grounded brand of contemporary pop-punk. The new track is the sonic incarnation of “a friend in need, is a friend indeed”; showing up for those you love when it matters most at the core of the track’s narrative. Save You continues the quintet’s trajectory of emphatic, heart-on-sleeve pop-punk, bursting at the seems with feeling and awash with rousing hooks.

“‘Save You’ means a lot to us, and we can’t wait to release it. It’s about showing up for someone when they need it most, being a source of strength, hope, and light no matter what they’re facing” (lead vocalist Nat Billings)

Rising from the stacked Sheffield scene, x2 Fast is a high-octane pop-punk outfit breathing new life into the Midlands alternative landscape. Known for their explosive live energy and anthemic choruses, the band blends the nostalgic, angst-ridden melodies of the early 2000s Warped Tour era with a contemporary edge and sharp production. In spite of this, the band’s resonating storytelling shines on through above all else. Relatable tales about growth, resilience and the chaotic beauty of youth bring the tracks searing through the speakers, as the band continues to pick up momentum across the UK.
