Italy’s Feldspar Share “Family Man” From Upcoming “Soft Side” Album

Rome, Italy’s power-pop/hardcore collective Feldspar have returned with their hook-heavy new single, Family Man, that is about the slow death of the fire you once had, and the refusal to mistake resignation for maturity. The single is another standout cut of melodic punk showcasing the band’s new musical direction for this album, which is centred around the vocals of new members Marianne Leoni and Viviana Di Bari. The track is the latest to be taken from their new album, Soft Side, that is set for release on 9th October via Stage Dive Records, and follows on from early singles Good Kids and Heart Is A Ghetto. On Soft Side, Feldspar make their power-pop physical, transforming hooky immediacy with hardcore bite and muscle, blending an American rhythmic backbone with a British voice and an Italian heart. At the center of it all is a striking vocal duality between Anna Portman‘s airy delivery and Rick Zamurri‘s scruffier edge; together they create a natural tension that gives the record its emotional charge.
