Canterbury, UK pop punkers Fountain Island are a band that have the look and sound to be the voice of the next generation. They call out to the underdogs, misfits and rebels among us who are told to stay in their lane and not pursue their dreams. The band started life in the midst of Covid lockdowns when frontman Alex Porro hatched a life-long ambition to create music that incorporated the likes of All American Rejects, My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy with an innovative tilt and broader vibe. Drummer Ella Delamare, who brought her love of not just emo, but punk and modern pop, helped complete the necessary amalgamation for Fountain Island to craft their own addictive blend of new school pop punk. Fountain Island are now braced to spread their wings and span their reach throughout the UK and beyond with their new single, Pretty Little Nightmare.
“‘Pretty Little Nightmares’ explores the bittersweetness of the first time with a loved one, and the realisation that one day it will just be a memory and can never be experienced again. The track takes cues from Blink182’s ‘I Miss You’, with its melancholy gothic tone whilst retaining the youthful pop feel.”
