Four Hundred Years are bringing the urgency of their late-’90s hardcore sound back into focus. The band has released a newly remixed and remastered version of Transmit Failure, the title track from their 1998 album, as a standalone single via Thirty Something Records and Lovitt Records. Newly remixed by J. Robbins at The Magpie Cage Recording Studio and remastered by Dan Coutant at Sun Room Audio, the track reconnects the band with the producer who originally recorded Transmit Failure at Inner Ear Studios in 1998.

The newly revisited title track gives longtime listeners a fresh perspective on the recording while introducing a new audience to the band’s volatile blend of precision, tension and conviction. Nearly three decades after its original release, Transmit Failure remains a forceful expression of the restless spirit at the heart of Four Hundred Years. More than just a return to the band’s past, this release marks the first step in a larger project connecting past, present and future, revisiting the music that defined Four Hundred Years while opening the door to what comes next.
