Officially winter is over, but it is still freezing, snowing and raining and the nights in Germany are still extremely cold. For homeless people, the hardest and most dangerous season is not over yet and that’s exactly where Germany’s Angry Youth Elite tie in with their new song, Cold Outside, that is now available on streaming platforms, it also precedes their new album, All Riot, that will be released in May 2023 on Bakraufarfita Records. The new single represents Angry Youth Elite‘s first new material since their 2018 debut album, Ready Set No, and the 2019 single, Say Anything , that was recorded with The Bombpops.

“The song is about a real incident. After a show in cold November, a drunk homeless man ran in front of my car and fell on the ground. I helped him up and offered to help him. He didn’t want to be helped, pushed me away and went his way. Since it was so extremely cold, I called the police so they could check on the man. They replied that you don’t come out for every drunk homeless person. An ambulance can also only be sent if he is injured. I then decided to take action myself and drove around the place all night looking for him in case he needed help. Except for a few broken beer bottles, I found only empty streets,”
