Hello Traitor Release Debut Album “Generation Chains” On Vinyl

Driving, straightforward, angular, guitar-driven aggression defines Hello Traitor‘s continuation of 90’s era post-hardcore. Through the transmission of energy and intensity from band to audience, Hello Traitor pays homage to pioneers of punk rock from all corners of a genre now known as an ethos rather than something defined by sound alone. Holding true to the philosophy “if you have something to say, say it loud enough to be heard by those who need to hear it“, Hello Traitor backs up their cathartic lyricism with a powerful sonic delivery. 

Hailing from Redmond Oregon and featuring ex-members of Philadelphia bands including The Halo Down, A Maritime Murder and Plow United who bring an East Coast tenacity to Hello Traitor‘s sound. Pulling from their collective influences of seminal acts such as Fugazi, Quicksand and Drive Like Jehu, the band released their debut full length, Generation Chains, digitally in January 2023 and they have now released the album on limited run blue marble vinyl.

Generation Chains centres around societal and mental health issues we all deal with every day, with the album’s title track examining the path of breaking cycles of violence and abuse rather than mire in the empty half of the glass. The record challenges listeners to seek ways to grow beyond the past instead of allowing it to define the present and future.
